The Dallas police officer that fired his gun at an unarmed man last month has been suspended without pay from work for 45 days.
The incident happened on September 2 when Officer Branson Grisham responded to a disturbance call in North Dallas on the 9700 block of Rustown Drive.
The 911 caller told operators that a man in an orange shirt fired a weapon at him.
When Grisham arrived he saw a man that fit the description, and approached the man, giving him loud verbal commands.
The 59 year old man took off running down the alley.
Grisham fired a round, missing him.
The man was then detained for questioning before being released.
It is unclear if he will face any criminal charges.
