Dallas Police Officer Shot In The Hand While Responding To Burglary

A Dallas police officer was shot early Monday morning, while responding to a burglary call.
Officers responded to a burglary call on the 9800 block of Audelia Rd.
The caller reported that a Hispanic male was kicking their front door.
An officer arrived and made verbal contact with the suspect.
The suspect shot multiple rounds striking the officer in the hand, before fleeing the scene on foot.
Emergency crews transported the officer to an area hospital in stable condition.
Authorities later arrested the suspect, Roberto Morfin,25. He is being charged with aggravated assault on a public servant.

This investigation remains ongoing.
