Dallas Police Officer Placed On Administrative Leave After Allegedly Posting “Aim Better” On Social Media

A Dallas police officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation after it was alleged that he posted a comment to social media saying “aim better”.

It was said that Sgt. Arturo Martinez made the comment on his social media platform following the attempted assassination on former President Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

The department received the complaint against Martinez on July 13. Dallas police Chief Eddie Garcia stated “When I received the notification regarding the comment posted, disappointed would be an understatement. If in fact true, the comment made has no place in our society, and certainly no place in law enforcement.

He also stated that “The comments made, if confirmed, certainly do not reflect the professionalism and dedication of the men and women of the Dallas Police Department. We are grateful former President Trump was not seriously hurt, and our hearts are with those injured and with the family and friends of Corey Comperatore, who tragically lost his life.”
