A 20 year-old male was apprehended Sunday night after being suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend, Dallas Police Department officials say.
Authorities responded to a call around 6:18 p.m. A witness stated that suspect Edgar Ramirez had called her. He wanted her to know that he had caused the death of his unidentified,19 year-old ex-girlfriend.
Ramirez was located at his residence where he was arrested, and the crime scene was analyzed.
While investigating, police learned that the victim was reported missing out of Balch Springs on November 27. This was the day before the crime occurred.
Eventually, Ramirez confessed to authorities that he had killed the woman and took them to a wooded location to find her body. Additionally, Ramirez said that he taken the woman’s car to a desolate area in Dallas and burned it.
A motive is unclear, but the investigation is on-going.
