Dallas Man Arrested And Charged With Making Threats Regarding The US Capitol Riots

A Dallas man has been arrested and charged in connection with making threats regarding the riots at the U.S. Capitol.
According to the arrest affidavit Troy Anthony Smocks,58 traveled to DC on January 5 and accessed an account on Parler to post threats.
The threats were made on January 6 and 7 and included that he and others would return to the U.S. Capitol on January 19, with weapons.
Smocks post were viewed on social media by thousands of people.
He is now facing charges of knowingly and willfully transmitting threats in interstate commerce.
