Dallas ISD’s Franklin D. Roosevelt High School Unveils State-of-The-Art Facility; Nearly $64 Million In Renovations
Dallas ISD’s newly renovated Franklin D. Roosevelt High School has opened its doors for the 2022-2023 school year.
The 2015 bond towards the renovations of the school totaled in a $63,987,115 budget.
The 58-year-old campus received a completed makeover with over 75% of its existing building being completely demolished. The nearly $64 million went towards the constructions, architectural engineering, and updated amenities that would be offered to its 800 plus students.
Some of the amenities include; a fine arts addition that doubles as a storm shelter, a competition gym, restaurant and storage space to support the culinary arts program, a library and media center, multi-classroom and career technical education spaces, a new cafeteria and kitchen, upgrades to outdoor athletic facilities, and new main secured entry and administrative suite.
THAT’S AWESOME
