On Monday, it was announced that Dallas County Tax Offices will be closed to the public for face-to-face transactions for now.

“We encourage our customers to take advantage of processing their vehicle registrations and property tax payments online at DallasCounty.org/Tax.”

People residing in Dallas County can renew their registration on the website or neighborhood grocery stores that provide the service. Dealerships can take title documents to any County Tax Office Branch with an appropriate dealer permit between 9:30 and 10 a.m., Monday-Friday.

Property Taxes can also be paid online with an eCheck at no additional costs. Credit cards may also be used. Additionally, tax payments can be mailed to P. O. Box 139066, Dallas, Texas, 75313-9066.

“We know this is a difficult time for all our residents. We are working diligently to make sure that all our services have an alternate process while we are closed to the public for face-to-face transactions. As always, we look forward to serving your needs,” said John R. Ames, the county tax assessor.
