Dallas County hit a new record high Sunday with new cases of the COVID-19 virus topping 200.
According to health officials Sunday there were 234 new cases and one new death.
County officials say this is not due to an increase in testing and have said to expect higher case numbers as the number of people being tested has increased and businesses are reopening.
The previous high was the 187 new cases reported on Friday, and the county’s second highest single-day total was 181 on Saturday.
The county’s total number of cases is now 4,133, and 111 deaths.
