Dallas County DA Found Dead After A DWI Incident

5.6kviews

Justin Lord was a 44-year-old prosecutor for The Dallas County district attorney’s office who is suspected to have suddenly passed away.
His sudden passing raises many questions because he was suspected of DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) hours before. The District Attorney’s office is not currently sharing information on how Lord passed suddenly
Body camera footage was released of The Palmer Police Department finding Lord Saturday around 1:30 a.m. after Lord had abandoned his vehicle he drove into a ditch. The video displays Lord inebriated yet calm enough to explain the situation to the police fairly clearly. Lord was shown with a bloody nose.
Police questioned Lord further about where he was headed. Lord cooperated & explained he left a bar in Dallas and thought he was close to his home in Rowlett, TX.
The Palmer Police Department wanted to gather evidence to prove their suspension so Lord was taken to a nearby hospital to get his blood drawn specifically for a DWI allegation. Police say someone picked him and took him home. The same home he was found dead in hours later.
On Saturday, a statement from Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot went out saying Lord was “not only a dedicated attorney, he was also an unwavering advocate for our community.” The office has yet to release any information regarding how Lord passed away.
Lord’s blood draw results eliminated the possibility of any charges.. Rowlett Police Department is investigating Lord’s death but are requesting all questions go to the Dallas County DA’s office.
