Dad Kills 6-Year-Old Son After Custody Filing

2.8kviews

A 6-year-old boy, in New Jersey, exhibited obvious signs of abuse.

On Wednesday, Christopher Gregor was charged with murder for the 2021 death of his child.

On April 2, 2021, the child, Corey Micciolo, was pronounced deceased at a hospital. His dad had left him at the hospital and fled the state.

The medical examiner had said that the child had experienced blunt force trauma.

After an investigation took place, detectives learned of the suspected abuse, and the 29-year-old was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was arrested but later released because of New Jersey Bail Reform.

The boy’s mother, Breanna Micciolo, said that she had been in communication with a child protection agency for a year. She had informed them of the many bruises, scratches, and bite marks that she was seeing on the child.

After taking Corey to a pediatrician, the boy told doctors that the bruises all over his body were from running on a treadmill and falling on turf. There were several bruises that he was unable to explain.

One day before he died, Breanna Micciolo, had been denied an emergency filing for custody of her son. However, the judge didn’t believe that the boy was in immediate danger. Thus, his mother had to take him back to his dad’s house.

On March 3, 2022, a released report detailed that the child died from wounds to the chest and abdomen. Corey’s death was then ruled a homicide. Documents showed that Gregor was with the child when he suffered the injuries.

Gregor was apprehended again, on Wednesday, and is still in custody pending a detention hearing.
