Two women were arrested Monday evening for murder after a man was killed in an Arlington restaurant parking lot during a custody exchange.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. on the 1600 block of W. Division Street when officers reels uner to a shooting in the parking lot.

Upon arrival officers found a 30 year old male deceased from a gunshot wound lying on the ground.

Witnesses at the scene told authorities that 29 year old Tamiyah Williams was at the location to meet her child’s father with their child.

The two got into a verbal argument that turned physical and Williams pulled out a handgun and shot him.

Authorities say Williams friend 23 year old Chanel Sherrod was there and fled the scene with Williams after the shooting.

On Monday night both Willaims and Sherrod were arrested by US Marshals in Arlington and charged with murder.

The child was found unharmed and is now with family members.

The victims name has not been released at this time.
