Couple Fatally Shot Over Parking Spot

A California couple is dead following a fatal shooting over Labor Day weekend.
Officers responded to a disturbance call on the 900 block of Park Circle around 7:50pm Saturday.
Upon arrival they found Juan Guizar-Gutierrez,39, lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound and Maricela Honorato,44 in the street suffering from a gunshot wound.
Guizar-Gutierrez was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.
Honorato was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.
According to reports Guizar-Gutierrez was trying to park his car in a parking spot when two men pulled up and started yelling and honking at him.
Some words were exchanged between the men before shots were fired.
The suspects fled the scene before officers could arrive to the scene.
Authorities were unable to get a description of the shooter.
This investigation remains ongoing.
