An autopsy has confirmed that the deceased body discovered in a Wyoming national park is that of Gabby Petito.
Her death has been ruled a homicide. The cause of death is pending.
The FBI is attempting to find individual who used the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping location between August 27 and August 30. They want to know if anyone communicated with or saw Petito or her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie. They were traveling together across the country in a white 2012 Ford Transit.
Last month, the couple was seen on police bodycam after being pulled over. Someone had reported a possible domestic violence dispute in Utah. On the recording, Petito is heard saying that the couple had gotten into an argument.
“We have been fighting all morning. He wouldn’t let me get in the car before…He told me I need to calm down.”
A manhunt of Laundrie is currently taking place.
