After being recorded on camera wishing death upon Christians, a Colleyville, Texas, middle school teacher has resigned.
The video has been uploaded to several internet sites. It depicts the English teacher, Lisa Grimes, having a discussion with two other women in a hallway about vaccines and how the matter has turned political.
“The rest of my life is impacted because of politics? Because of conservative Christian crap?…Those conservative Christians need to get COVID and die,” the teacher is heard saying.
On Wednesday, the teacher was put on leave. However, she quit on Thursday.
The Grapevine-Colleyville School District had issued a statement saying that the teacher’s thoughts don’t match the perspectives of the district or the middle school. They added that it was inappropriate to wish bad things upon people with whom we don’t agree.
