Chris Cuomo Fired From CNN

On Saturday, Chris Cuomo was terminated by CNN.

He was initially suspended by the network after the New York attorney general investigated him. The investigation resulted in more information. It detailed how he assisted his brother, ex-Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York, with sexual harassment accusations.

“This is not how I want my time at CNN to end. But I already told you why and how I helped my brother… as disappointing as this is, I could not be more proud of the team at Cuomo Prime Time and the work we did as CNN’s #1 show in the most competitive time slot,” he responded via Twitter.

Transcripts from state investigators show that he confessed to contacting media sources. He wanted to learn about new accusers that may come forward against his brother. He then went back and told the governor’s staff what he found out. He also helped them figure out what to say about the claims.

Ex-Governor Andrew Cuomo was accused by at least 11 women of sexual harassment earlier this year. He ultimately resigned from his position.
