On Monday, CashApp noted that they are reviewing a matter that is causing multiple Cash Card transactions to wipe out users’ accounts. Some users have been noticing negative account balances.
CashApp can be utilized to transfer money between people. In some instances, users can also make payments with it at certain businesses.
Many people online expressed their frustration regarding how the company had doubled prior purchases that were paid for via CashApp.
Twitter user Amanda Wilson wrote, “Cash app doubling purchases. I mean adding it exactly to double it.” This was accompanied with a screenshot of a purchase she made for $16.28 that was turned into $32.56.
Additionally, the same user showed another screenshot of how a transaction at Quiktrip was doubled from $23.73 to $47.46.
Another Twitter user revealed her frustration by writing, “Thanks a lot, thanks a lot. I’m so screwed.” This was followed by the hashtags, #cashappme, #cashapp, and #needhelp.
At the beginning of June, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau had alerted that people shouldn’t keep funds in money-sharing apps for an extended amount of time. This is because they don’t have the same sort of protection that banks contain.
Same happened to me with three different transactions
This is why i immediately transfer my cash to my bank!! I only leave 1.00 on the card..

My cash app was shut down for a refund that I never received and transactions that were paid were put in the negative!!! No explanation for why I am not able to use cash app again!!!

I NOTICED I DID NOT THE BALANCE THAT I SHOULD COUPLE TIMES SO I STARTED PAYING MORE INTENSE ATTENTION. THERE WERE TIMES WHEN THE TOOK MONEY FROM BOTH MONEY SOURCES. AND I USED THE APP SUPPORT CHAT THING AND ALL I WAS TOLD WAS THAT I HAVE TO CHOOSE WHICH SOURCE. I LOOKED BACK THERE WERE FOUR DOUBLE CHARGES OF ADDING CASH THEN SENDING IT AND THE MONEY CAME FROM BOTH CASH APP CASH AND DEBIT CARD CASH I REQUESTED TO SPEAK WITH A HUMAN AND IT NEVER HAPPENED AFTER MARCH 2023 I STOPPED LEAVING MY CREDIT UNION DEBIT CARD ON. I ADD THE CARD ADD THE FUNDS TO CASH AND REMOVE MY CARD THEN DO WHATEVER TRANSACTIONS AND I WROTE THEM DOWN SO MAYBE NOW I CAN SPEAK WITH. HUMANS INSTEAD OF AUTO BOTS SEEMS LIKE SINCE SO MANY PEOPLE USE THIS TRANSFER SERVICE. IT HAS TO BE A NATIONWIDE SYSTEM GLITCH FOR THE ADMINISTRATION TO HEAR ANYTHING AND ACTUALLY F…..G CARE
HOW ABOUT THAT. AND THERE WERE TWO OTHER ISSUES OF THE PAST TWO THREE YEARS SAME ACCOUNT WITH ONE I NEVER RECEIVED MY REFUND FROM GIECO INSURANCE OF 6??.00. THAT THEY SENT ME BACK AND MY OTHER ACCOUNT FOR DAUGHTER WHEN TARGET IN NEW YORK TOOK 82.00 WHEN THE CARD WAS STILL ON AND WAS THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY SEVERAL NEW YORK TARGETS HAD BEEN TRYING TO CHARGE OFF FOUR DIFFERENT AMOUNTS IN LIKE SIX MONTHS TIME AND THATS DOCUMENTED TO CASH APP SAYS IT WAS A LEGITIMATE CHARGE.
