A carjacking suspect was arrested in North Dallas Wednesday night after a mini police standoff.
Officers responded to a carjacking on the 9500 block of Forest Ln around 8pm.
Upon arrival they were advised that the suspect had taken a small black sedan.
Authorities spotted the stolen vehicle a couple hours later on Forest Ln parked at a Chevron gas station pump.
Officers attempted a high felony risk stop on the parked vehicle.
The suspect inside the vehicle opened the door but refused to get out.
Police set up a perimeter and began negotiating with the suspect.
After about 30 minutes they deployed pepper balls and beanbag rounds.
The suspect finally stepped out the vehicle and was arrested without incident.
He is expected to face aggravated robbery charges.
