Car Fire In Garland Leaves 3 Children Injured

Three children were seriously injured after a car caught fire in a Garland parking lot Saturday evening.
The fire took place on the 2900 block of S. First St in a shopping center parking lot Saturday evening when a man left the car unattended with 3 young children inside and it caught fire.
The children were between the ages of 1 and 4 years of age. One child had to be care flighted from the scene and the other two were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Detectives are waiting on fire department to determine the cause of the fire.
This investigation is ongoing.
