A Florida bride was arrested after being accused of feeding her wedding guests marijuana-laced food.
Dayna Svoboda(Glenny) 42, and her caterer, Jocelyn Bryant, 31 have been charged. This includes tampering, culpable negligence, and the delivery of marijuana. Court documents show that Svoboda was aware that the caterer had put the marijuana in the food.
On February 19, in Longwood, Florida, several guests at the wedding begin to feel weird. One guest told police that he felt like he had “drugs inside him” after consuming the food and drinks.
First responders arrived on scene. Then, some people were transported to a hospital, and others were vomiting and had stomach aches.
“I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. My heart was racing…,” said a wedding guest, Miranda Cady.
Investigators retrieved chocolate covered strawberries, pudding ‘shot’ desserts, and lasagna so that they could be examined.
Bryant and Svoboda were apprehended two months later. They have bonded out and will appear in court again in June.
“I don’t why. I think that is the biggest question on all of our minds…We want an explanation,” Cady added
