On Monday night, boxing star Jermall Charlo was arrested after authorities say that he crashed his Lamborghini Urus while intoxicated.
Authorities in Pearland, Texas, say that Charlo, who was in his red Lambo, and another vehicle were involved in a crash at about 6:41 p.m. However, after a verbal disagreement between the drivers, Charlo left the scene.
When authorities tried to pull Charlo over a mile away, he refused to stop and was boxed in by multiple cop cars at a red light. He was arrested at the scene, and a field sobriety test was conducted that showed signs of intoxication.
Charlo has now been charged with DWI, fleeing from a police officer, and leaving the scene of a crash $200 dollars of damage or more.
Charlo’s attorney has reported that drugs were not involved as the boxing star has been training.
No injuries have been reported.
Charlo, the 33-0 twin brother of boxing star Jermell Charlo, had his last fight in November 2023. Then, he defeated Jose Benvidez Jr. by decision.
