The body of missing 11-year-old Audrii Cunningham from Livingston was located in the Trinity River Tuesday afternoon.
Search crews located the 11-year-old’s body in the river, underneath a bridge at U.S. Highway 59, not very far from where she went missing.
Evidence obtained from cell phone analysis and video footage aided in the discovery of her whereabouts. Substantial evidence was also collected to where authorities are now charging 42-year-old Don Steven McDougal with Capital Murder.
McDougal, who is currently in jail on unrelated charges, is a friend of the family and lives in a camper behind their home. He was named as a suspect in the case after being identified as the last person seen with the Audrii.
Audrii Cunningham’s body is currently being transported to the Harris County Medical Office to determine the cause of death.
