Black-Owned Heritage Coffee Lounge Coming to DeSoto

Tara McDaniel is co-owner of Soiree Coffee Bar in Trinity Groves. She said there is a need to generate jobs and strengthen and expand Black communities.
Hence, an premier coffee shop, Heritage Coffee Lounge, is surfacing in DeSoto.
“I found out the vision of DeSoto was to hone in on economic development. I knew this was a great market opportunity for an upscale coffee shop,” she stated.
The doors will open mid-September in the new Shops at Wintergreen development located close to Wintergreen and Cockrell Hill Road.
Specialties will include spiked coffee, cocktails and a “Southern New Generation.”  The food menu will offer vegan choices from Peace, Love & Eatz, a DeSoto smoothie bar. Brunch will be available on weekends, and local artists will perform live music.
Customers will be able to reserve private rooms throughout the week for meetings or on weekends for private feasting.
