On Thursday, Best Buy recalled over 770,000 Insignia air fryers. The places affected include the United States and Canada as indicated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety  Commission.

The safety commission announced that the air fryers may catch on fire and could possibly burn people. Best Buy has gotten 68 reports from U.S. consumers and 36 reports from Canadian customers. It showed that the fryers were catching on fire, burning, or melting.

Seven of those reports entailed small property damage, and two people reported that they were injured. In one of those instances, a child’s leg was hurt.

The items that have been recalled include Insignia Digital Air Fryers, Insignia Analog Air Fryers, and Insignia Digital Air Fryer Ovens. All of the items were available at Best Buy or online.

The fryers that are malfunctioning were sold between November 18 and February 2022.

If a person has one of the above-mentioned products, they are urged to stop using them. They are encouraged to return them back to Best Buy for a $50 Best Buy credit, or a larger credit If the purchase was more than that.
