Bartender Robbed At Gunpoint And Forced To Pay His Bosses Back

3.2kviews

Edward Parker was working as a bartender in Las Vegas and was robbed at gunpoint. Then, he was demanded to pay his company back for the stolen money. Parker has now filed a lawsuit against his former employer.

On December 4, 2020, Parker was working at Lodge Hualapai. A gunman walked in and forced Parker to get on the ground. The assailant then stole all the cash that was at the bar, lawsuit documents note.

“Edward was terrified during the ordeal and feared for his life as the gunman left with $3,937.75.”

His supervisors then gave him a repayment paper which Parker signed, fearing he would lose his job if he didn’t.

With that in place, Parker says that $300 was taken from his paycheck at a time until the almost $4,000 was paid back.

Although Parker was made to sign the form and experienced panic attacks and extreme anxiety, he continued working.

Later, Parker was demoted to “extra board” status which meant he would only work if he was called in. But, he was never called back into work.

The lawsuit states that two suspects were arrested for the robbery, and there was no indication that Parker knew them.
