Babysitter Fatally Stabs Mother of Children He Was Babysitting After Splitting Weed Cookie With Her

A Pennsylvania man accused of fatally stabbing a woman who hired him to babysit her two children is being charged with criminal homicide.
According to reports Lavrius Watson,26 was hired to babysit Elizabeth Bennett Leonard,41 two children in October.
Emergency crews were called to a domestic disturbance call at a home in Mountain Top.
Upon arrival they found Leonard unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to the abdomen.
Watson, who had been friends with Leonard for several years, was babysitting two of her children on Friday when the two decided to share a weed cookie together.
Watson allegedly told police he had an “adverse reaction” to the cookies. He grabbed a knife from a kitchen drawer and stabbed Leonard five times.
Watson was arrested at the scene and transported to Luzerne County Prison. He is currently being held without bond.
The investigation remains ongoing.
