The death of Tupac Shakur is still being investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The department validated claims that they searched a residence on Monday in connection to the on-going murder investigation.

On September 7, 2006, the rapper was fatally shot in Las Vegas.

Detectives say that Shakur got into a physical altercation with someone named Orlando Anderson. Authorities say that they think Anderson got a firearm and drove up to a BMW that Shakur was riding in. The car had been stopped at a red light at Flamingo Road and Koval Lane. That’s when shots were fired. Shortly after Shakur was killed, Anderson was fatally shot in another matter in L.A.

Despite much unknown information throughout the years as authorities have investigated, no apprehensions have ever been made.

In June, Tupac was given a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. He had already been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017.
