In the 11400 block of Garland Road, the Dallas Police Department responded to a call for service on Nov. 7, 2023, at about 1:30 p.m.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they discovered 42-year-old Jose Vasquez wounded and unresponsive. He was taken to a medical facility, and the authorities began an investigation into the aggravated assault.
After the victim died from his wounds on Nov. 10, a homicide investigation started.
No suspect has been taken into custody at this time, and an investigation is ongoing.
