In the early morning hours of November 8, a person walking was struck by a vehicle on southbound I-35 at the Hwy 67 merge in Dallas.
The pedestrian died at the location, and the driver left the scene.
On the evening of November 9, Angel Daniel Dominguez, 18, was apprehended for the fatal hit-and-run.
The medical examiner’s office is attempting to positively identify the unknown deceased man. Additionally, his name won’t be given to the public until his relatives have been notified.
On Tuesday, authorities found Dominguez’s vehicle, and he was taken into custody and charged with felony accident involving death.
If convicted, he could face a maximum of 20 years in state prison. He may also be required to pay restitution of up to $10,000 for the felony 2 charge.
