AMC Movie Theatres Closing Down And May Not Reopen

AMC movie theatres will be filing for bankruptcy soon and closing their doors nationwide.
Apparently AMC was already having some financial issues before the Coronavirus outbreak and this crisis just made it worse.
They reported a $5 billion deficit at the end of 2019 and losses of $149 million for the year.
They reportedly hired a law firm to help them with the negotiations.
AMC’s top executives announced they will take significant pay cuts to keep everything afloat for as long as they can. Additionally, the company has furloughed 600 corporate employees.
This crisis is also causing any members of the company’s A-List theater subscription to pause their memberships with them while the closures are in effect.
