Lisa Banes, 65, died from traumatic head injuries several days after she was hit by a scooter driver. The driver who hit her is still being sought.

Banes, who had the right of way, was crossing Amsterdam Avenue at West 64th Street on June 4. Then, the driver of a scooter ran a red light, knocking the actress down.

She was infamous for her roles in “Gone Girl” and “A Cure for Wellness.” Her friends remember her for her “magnetism and kindness.”

There were still e-bikes and e-scooters going erratically down the street at the spot where the accident transpired. This was right next to a flashing sign alerting people of the tragedy that had just occurred.

Pedestrian-related traffic deaths have risen across the city. This comes as newer and more types of transportation gain access to the streets.
