A Hockaday school teacher was arrested last week on child pornography charges.
According to reports Jason Baldwin,28 admitted to federal investigators that he paid for lewd videos of underage boys engaging in sexual acts.
Apparently Baldwin used a Paypal account linked to Hockaday’s northwest Dallas mailing address to purchase the explicit videos.
Baldwin, who is an early childhood development curriculum coordinator, has been employed with the school since 2014.
He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation and banned from the school.
An email sent to parents, students and alumni’s said “We have pledged our full cooperation with authorities and have been communicating closely with them as they conduct this ongoing investigation, We are tremendously saddened by these allegations about a member of our community. … Please know that our highest priority is providing quality care and instruction in a safe, secure and nurturing environment.”
Baldwin was arrested and charged with receipt of child pornography and has since been released to his mother’s custody with conditions including that he seek psychiatric or sex offender treatment, not own or possess internet enabled devices or have unsupervised contact with minors.
