46-year-old Craig Ross Jr. is said to have abducted a 9-year-old Charlotte Sena while she was on a bike trail at a state park in Sarasota Springs, New York. He was arraigned on first-degree kidnapping charges on Tuesday.

Reports indicate that the suspect had been named after his fingerprints were found on a ransom note. State police had seen him putting the note into Charlotte Sena’s mailbox, close to 4:20 a.m. on Monday.

Ross is now being held at the Sarasota County Jail in Ballston Spa, New York.

On Monday, state and federal agents went into a camper that was behind the double-wide trailer of his mother.

After some resistance, the suspect was apprehended, and Sena was quickly found inside a cabinet, covered up. She was then rescued.

Charlotte was transported to a medical facility where her family was awaiting her arrival.

This isn’t the first time that Ross has been in trouble with the law. In 2017, he had been charged with misdemeanor “obstruction of breathing.”
