On Saturday, Chuck Norris awarded 83 year-old Carole Taylor from Utah, with a fifth-degree black belt in karate.
Taylor’s love for karate started at 68, transporting her granddaughter to lessons.
“We both got first-degree black belts together,” she exclaimed.
At Chuck Norris’s annual convention, she displayed forms of hand techniques, stances, footwork, targeting, focusing, and power.
She tricked the crowd by using a bow as a cane. Then, she regained her posture and showed a powerful stance and serious facial expression. She received a standing ovation from Norris and others.
“I was so excited. I bowed to him(Norris) …and he grabbed me and hugged me so hard,” she stated.
Also, Taylor teaches karate. She said that it helps her maintain focus and keeps her brain fresh.
Taylor is an actress who has been in films, an artist, and a calligrapher. However, she said that karate is something else she is appreciative for.
