78 Year Old North Carolina Woman Killed After Being Dragged 100 Feet Underneath A Vehicle In A Hospital Parking Lot

A 78 year old North Carolina woman was killed after being dragged 100 feet underneath a car in a hospital parking garage Friday afternoon.
The incident happened around 3:15pm in the parking garage of Duke Raleigh Hospital.
According to reports Mary Albrecht,78 was walking to her vehicle that was parked in a handicap parking spot.
While walking she tripped over a speed bump and was struck by a vehicle.
The driver was making a U-turn to descend from the second level to the first but was unable to see the pedestrian on the ground due to visual obstruction.
Albrecht was dragged 100ft by the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stayed on the scene until officers arrived.
No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
