A 74 year old man is in custody after fatally shooting a woman in Arlington Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 2100 block of Lake Country Drive.
Upon arrival they found a 31 year old woman lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound.
She was transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.
The shooter, Dale Heimann,74 was still on the scene when officers arrived.
He was taken into custody without incident and charged with murder.
Throughout the investigation officers learned that the victim and suspect were family members and had gotten into a verbal disagreement before the shooting.
