A 7 year old girl with autism is dead after she fell into a pond in Forney Thursday afternoon.
Officers were called out to the 1000 block of Hampton Dr around 12:45pm for a search and rescue after a child fell into the pond and went underwater.
Divers pulled the child from the pond around 1:15pm and she was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Kaufman County Sheriffs office says they do not suspect foul play but the investigation is ongoing.
