6 Steps To Disappear From The Internet For Good

2.2kviews

Although a person can’t totally delete themselves from the internet, there are few ways to limit your personal information that is out on the web.

First, delete or deactivate your shopping, social media, and web services account. These may include information stored on sites like Amazon, Gap.com or Macys.com.

Secondly, remove yourself from data collection sites. These include sites like  Whitepages.com or Peoplefinder.com They gather information from everything that you do online and then sell it.

Thirdly, remove your information directly from websites. That involves contacting your phone providers first and making sure that you aren’t listed online.

Fourth, remove personal information from websites. If things such as your social security number or bank account information won’t be taken off websites by the webmaster, a legal request to Google can be sent to have it removed.

Next, remove outdated search results. For example, if an old employer has old information about you and hasn’t deleted it, a person can submit the URL to Google, and hopefully the servers will be updated.

Finally, remove all email accounts. An email is required to do all the steps above, so this should be your last option.
