A shooting in Dallas left a 40 year old man dead Tuesday night.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 9:20 pm on the 2500 block of Perryton Drive. Upon arrival they found the victim, 40 year old Geoffrey Jones, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
During the investigation officers learned that Jones and a male suspect had a heated argument that escalated.
The male suspect then shot Jones before fleeing the scene.
This investigation remains ongoing.
