4-Year-Old American Child And 16 Other Hostages Released By Hamas

After being taken almost two months ago, a 4-year-old American girl, 14 Israeli hostages, and 3 foreign hostages were released by Hamas on Sunday.

On Oct.7, Avigail Idan, a dual Israeli-American citizen, was taken hostage after Hamas terrorists killed her parents in her presence. On Sunday, she was confirmed to have been freed.

Additionally, the Red Cross has told the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) that they now have 14 Israeli hostages and 3 foreign hostages that Hamas freed from Gaza.

The Israeli government has informed relatives of the hostages that they were headed to Israel.

Twelve of the hostages were with IDF and ISA officials in order to be released in Israeli territory to Hatzerim Base. Four others hostages were headed to Rafah Crossing. The other hostage was immediately airlifted to an Israeli medical facility.

This third round of releasing hostages by Hamas comes as a component of a cease-fire between Hamas and Israel. This is also following Hamas militants taking over 240 individuals during the rampage through southern Israel that started the war.

In all, nine children were released on Sunday.

Hamas added that they freed one Russian hostage to show their gratefulness for Moscow’s view on the war.
