Police Searching for Two Men That Propped Deceased Man’s Body In Post Office to Collect His Pension

Ireland police are investigating after two men brought a deceased man to the post office to collect his pension.

The incident happened on January 21 when a man walked into a Carlow post office and attempted to collect a deceased man’s pension.

Once the postal employee told the man the pension recipient had to be present the man returned with another man and the deceased body.

The employee grew suspicious and contacted police. A witness told officers they witnessed the men carrying the body inside the post office.

The suspects fled the scene before officers could arrive.

The deceased person was later identified as Peadar Doyle.

Gardaí police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Doyle’s murder. His house is now a crime scene.

The suspects remain at large.
