3 Year Old Child Accidentally Shoots Himself

At approximately 7:12 p.m., Dallas officers responded to a shooting call at a residence in the 4000 block of Shady Hollow Lane.
When the officers arrived, they found that a small child, 3-years-old, had accidently shot himself with a firearm inside the residence.
The child was immediately taken to an area hospital with his condition unknown at this time, but the child is still alive and crying.
The father and an adult witness were at home at the time of the incident. There has been no arrest made at this time. Again, we are in the early stages of this investigation and information can change. I will update you as information becomes available.
