3 Year Old Accidentally Shoots And Kills 1 Year Old Sister After Finding Loaded Gun Inside Home
A 3 year old child accidentally shot and killed their sister after finding a loaded gun inside the home.
On July 17, San Diego County Sheriff’s were called to a residence on the 1100 block of S. Stagecoach Lane regarding a child being shot around 7:30 a.m.
Once they arrived they found a 1 year old suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. She was transported to Palomar hospital where she later died.
The 3 year old found a loaded gun inside the residence and shot their younger sibling. It is unclear where the toddler found the gun and where the parents were at the time of the shooting.
In a news release the Sheriff’s Department said, “The Sheriff’s Department extends our sympathies to the family and those affected by this death. Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the circumstances of the death”.

The Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.
This investigation is ongoing.
How sad.😢 What do people not understand about small kids and guns? Gun safety is a must you fools.. another innocent angel dies bc people are irresponsible and leave loaded guns laying around.. these parents should be charged for the death of the 1 yr old
