25 Year Old Man Arrested For The Shooting Death Of A Houston Police Segeant

A 25 year old man has been arrested and charged with the shooting death of a Houston police sergeant Saturday night.
Arturo Solis,25 was arrested Saturday evening after admitting to shooting Sergeant Christopher Brewster.
Brewster responded to an assault call on the 7400 block of Avenue L when he saw Solis and his girlfriend walking.
As Brewster was getting out of the vehicle the girlfriend pointed at Solis as her attacker and when Brewster called his name Solis shot at him multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot.
Brewster was struck and fell to the ground but was able to call for backup and give his shooters description.
He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Responding officers eventually captured Solis at De Zavala Elementary where they recovered a handgun on him.
Another gun was also recovered on the scene where Brewster was shot.
The whole incident was captured on Brewster’s body cam and Solis has been charged with capital murder and remains in jail with no bond.
