22 Year Old Male Arrested After Shooting At Garland Police

A man was arrested in Garland Wednesday after opening fire at police.

Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle near Buckingham and Garland Ave around 10pm.

Once they spotted the blue 2005 Toyota 4Runner suv, they attempted to pull it over. The driver then began to speed away.

The driver then drove into a residential area on the 900 block of Alamo and began shooting at the officers.

He then took off running through the neighborhood but was later arrested.
The suspect was later identified as Aaron Quiroz Jr.

He was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

He remains in Garland jail.
