21-year-old Argentinian social media star/influencer, Catalina Gutierrez, is said to have been killed by a fellow classmate who was obsessed with her.

Catalina had 100,000 Instagram followers and 36,000 TikTok followers.

Per The US Sun, Gutierrez’s burnt remains were found in the back seat of a car in a vehicle park, on Wednesday evening, in Renault Clio.

Catalina had last been observed on July 17 after leaving home to meet friends at a shopping plaza. While leaving, she messaged her boyfriend letting him know she was headed his way. However, she never arrived.

After questioning her friends, architecture student Nestor Soto admitted to killing Catalina. He added that he was obsessed with Catalina and that she was the “love of his life.”

It is believed that Nestor attacked Catalina in the vehicle until she became unresponsive. He then took the car to a car park and set it on fire.

Nestor, who had met Catalina in an architecture class, had gotten her to meet up with him prior to her going to the shopping center. Her father noted that he had been to their home on multiple occasions.

Nestor was apprehended and is facing a homicide charge.

Catalina’s cause of death was said to be asphyxiation by strangulation. She was also struck several times throughout her body.
