Parker County Mother Charged In Connection To 5 Year Old Sons Death

A Parker County mother was arrested earlier this week in connection to a child abuse case involving her son.
Officers responded to a call regarding an unresponsive child on the 600 block of Soaring Star Lane in Aledo on May 7.
Upon arrival emergency crews found a 5 year old boy unresponsive with injuries to his body.
The mother told officers that her son suffered from cognitive disorder that made him fall frequently.
They began administering first aid and rushed the boy to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.
Staff members at the hospital told authorities that the injuries were not consistent with falling but more with child abuse.
The child was placed on life support in the pediatric icu where he died Monday morning.
The actual cause of death is pending the outcome of the autopsy performed by Tarrant County Medical Examiners.
Chadwick was arrested and charged with first degree felony injury to a child with intent of serious bodily injury.
