On August 10, a snake bit into a two-year-old’s lip, and the child bit it back. The snake then died.
Reportedly, the child was heard yelling in her backyard during the incident, by neighbors, close to Bingol, Turkey. When they went to assist her, they discovered a 20-inch snake in her teeth and a bite mark on her mouth.
After being in the hospital for more than 24 hours, the child is healing. Her father disclosed that she had been playing with the snake before the bite.
There are 12 various types of venomous snakes found in Turkey. However, it isn’t known what type was involved in the attack.
The World Health Organization states that venomous snake bites can impact children faster than adults.
