Two teens were fatally shot and two others injured during a shooting outside of a Chicago high school Friday afternoon.

The shooting happened on the 2100 block of Laflin Street at the Benito Juarez Community Academy when students were getting out of class.

An unknown gunman opened fire into the crowd striking four teens. All the teens were transported to Stroger hospital where a 14 and 15 year old boy died from a gunshot wound to the head.

The other two victims were a 15 year old boy who was shot in the thigh and shoulder and a 15 year old girl that was grazed by a bullet in her thigh. They are both said to be in stable condition.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has identified one of the victims as 15 year old Brandon Perez.

Constance Jones, CEO of Noble Schools, released a statement saying, “We send our condolences to the families of these students and we stand in solidarity with the Benito Juarez High School community as they grieve during this time.”

A thorough investigation is underway and officers are reviewing all surveillance footage in the area as well as speaking with witnesses.
