Two 4-year-old girls from Miami are bestfriends but also insist they are twins. Jia Sarnicola and Zuri Copeland believe they are twins because in Jia’s words, “We have the same birthday and the same soul”. Their birthdays being 2 days apart and them being different races doesn’t phase the little girls.
At a birthday party the girls were heard telling another child that they were twins to which the child responded, “You are not twins!” Jia started bawling crying because she truly believes Zuri is her twin. Jia responded to the child, “You don’t know anything because we have the same birthday and the same soul!”.
It’s clear the little girls don’t see race as a difference between them. Their mothers are glad to be raising daughters that never see any differences amongst themselves, only similarities.
