On Saturday, June 18, 2022, 7 people were shot, including two who were killed, at a barbecue in San Antonio, Texas.
Close to 10:13 p.m., officers arrived to the 2500 block of Patron Drive, regarding a shooting that was taking place.
Authorities learned that someone in a dark colored SUV pulled up to a family barbecue and started shooting. Two men died at the location, and five women were wounded and transported to a medical facility.
“A family was barbecuing out in front of the house. Someone drove by and unloaded on them, firing off about 20 or 30 rounds,” stated the San Antonio police chief. The victims were said to be in their 20s and 40s.
Authorities don’t have much information on the matter. However, they say that in May, a deadly conduct act occurred, a drive-by, at the home. No one was hurt, though.
Authorities believe that this incident may have been targeted and are grateful that six children that were inside of the residence were unharmed.
An investigation is continuing.
